The new Cultural Revolution, now with corporate sponsorship

Among the utter madness that has descended on our nation over the past few weeks one can see many similarities between what is happening across Western nations and the fairly recent Marxist revolutions in France, South America and China.
All out class warfare pushed by “elites” and reeducation for “wrongthink” were just two of the strategies employed in the movement to totalitarian politics in the modern era.
Many jokes about gulags and re-education camps can be found littered among Right leaning social media circles, and while the issues are couched in humor, the seriousness of the situations we are facing in this country can not be laughed away.
Mixed messaging from “trusted” government institutions who have twisted themselves into pretzels to explain why certain protests are acceptable, while others are not are just the tip of the iceberg.
Should we have a serious conversation as a nation regarding police powers, training and the over-militarization of our police forces? Yes, absolutely. Should that conversation include the disparities and issues that minority neighborhoods face? Again, yes.
Allowing Antifa and other affiliated blac bloc radicals to co-opt your message for one of anarcho-socialism while destroying cities does little more than damage the opportunity for these conversations to happen.
A plain watching of the video documenting the death of George Floyd should sicken every American. Full stop. We are not servants to the state in this country subject to local authoritarian whims, although I would theorize that it is at least part of the end goal for much of the current madness. But instead, active participants in the contract between government or those acting on it’s behalf and our citizens.
What started as a protest that was supported by over 75% of Americans has now devolved to out and out street warfare in major cities across the country, complete with motorcycle and street gangs providing protection for communities and neighborhoods.
The mob isn’t satisfied with destroying businesses, defacing public monuments and throwing concrete at those trying to protect lives and livelihoods, It demands total obedience under threat of public shaming and boycott. It demands meaningless public relation statements in absolute solidarity. And it will absolutely come for every single person who does not fall in line.
